81 Speedway Welcomes Return of USMTS!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – June 4, 2013 - Their much anticipated return trip to 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas will now take place as track officials confirmed today that the United States Modified Touring Series will make an appearance at the speedway on Thursday night, June 20th.  This event will be billed as “USRA/NCRA challenge,” however this will not be a point’s race for the NCRA modified division.

The event will kick off nine out of ten days of racing for USMTS and the date was made available with the closing of the Great American Dirt Track in Jetmore, Kansas.

The first and only previous USMTS vs. NCRA showdown event took place at the track back in 2008 when an overflow grandstand saw 59 cars to battle with Jason Hughes taking claim of the 35 lap feature finale.

Advanced tickets are now available at the speedway and can be purchased by calling (316) 755-1781. Grandstand admission prices are as follows:

$15 for adults; kids ages 6-10 $5 and children five and under will be admitted free. Gates open at 5:00 PM with races slated for a 7:30 PM start time.

81 Speedway is located north of Wichita on I-135 to exit 16, then .7 mile west on 77th St. in Park City.
